Airopl is currently an AI-powered study platform operated by **Omar Tariq Salah**, an individual ("Airopl," "we," "us," or "our").
This Privacy Policy applies to Airopl's website, applications, AI tutor, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Airopl, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

## 1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Airopl.
### Account Information
When you create or maintain an account, we may collect:
* your email address;
* username or display name, if provided;
* internal user and account identifiers;
* authentication information; and
* account preferences or settings.
We do not need or intend to store your password in readable plain text.
### Conversations
When you communicate with Galilei or another AI feature, we process information such as:
* your prompts;
* messages;
* conversation history;
* generated responses;
* selected models or features; and
* information included in conversation context.
Do not include sensitive personal information in a conversation unless it is necessary for your intended use of the Service.
### Uploaded Content
When you upload content, we may process:
* documents;
* PDFs;
* images;
* text files;
* study materials;
* filenames;
* file metadata; and
* content extracted from uploaded files.
Uploaded material may be stored or temporarily processed so that Airopl can provide the requested feature.
### Generated Content
We may store content generated for you, including:
* AI responses;
* quizzes;
* flashcards;
* diagrams;
* images;
* videos;
* visualizations; and
* other generated study materials.
### Technical and Usage Information
When you use the Service, we may automatically process technical information such as:
* IP address;
* approximate location derived from IP address;
* browser type;
* device or operating-system information;
* request timestamps;
* login events;
* network information;
* error information;
* security events;
* usage information;
* requested pages or features; and
* other technical information reasonably necessary to operate and protect the Service.
We do not use GeoLite2 to obtain GPS-level or precise physical location information.
### Support Communications
If you contact us, we may receive:
* your email address;
* the contents of your message;
* attachments you provide;
* account information necessary to investigate your request; and
* our correspondence with you.

## 2. Information We Do Not Currently Collect for Payment
Airopl is currently a **free beta**.
We do not currently charge subscription fees through the Service and do not require payment-card information to create a beta account.
If paid services are introduced later, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate before payment information is collected or processed.

We may use information reasonably necessary to:
* create and authenticate accounts;
* provide Airopl and Galilei;
* respond to prompts;
* process uploaded files;
* maintain conversations;
* generate quizzes, explanations, images, diagrams, videos, or other content;
* provide requested study features;
* maintain user settings;
* enforce geographic availability restrictions;
* detect abuse, fraud, attacks, or suspicious activity;
* detect and respond to safety risks;
* secure accounts and infrastructure;
* diagnose bugs and technical problems;
* maintain and improve reliability and performance;
* provide customer support;
* investigate violations of our Terms of Service;
* enforce our legal rights;
* comply with valid legal obligations; and
* protect Airopl, our users, and third parties.
Where appropriate, we may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand general Service usage and improve Airopl.
We do not show advertising in the Service, we do not share personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not use your information to build advertising or marketing profiles.

## 4. AI Processing
Airopl uses third-party artificial-intelligence services to provide certain features.
When you send a prompt or use an AI-powered feature, information necessary to process the request may be transmitted to third-party AI infrastructure.
This may include:
* your prompt;
* relevant portions of prior conversation history;
* instructions necessary to perform the request;
* extracted text from uploaded files;
* uploaded images or other supported content; and
* generated output.
Airopl currently uses **OpenRouter** for routing certain AI requests.
OpenRouter may transmit the request to an underlying AI model provider selected for the request.
The particular provider may vary based on the model, feature, availability, routing settings, or other operational considerations.
Different AI providers may apply different rules concerning logging, retention, and abuse monitoring. Section 5 explains how we address model training.
Airopl does not sell private conversations or uploaded files.
Airopl does not intentionally publish your private conversations or uploaded files for other users.

## 5. AI Model Training
Airopl does not use private user conversations or uploaded files to train any AI model, including any Airopl-owned model.
We configure our AI requests so that they are routed only to third-party model providers that, under their stated terms, do not train on the inputs and outputs of those requests.
Some providers may still process or briefly retain inputs and outputs as permitted by their own terms, for example to operate their systems, prevent abuse, ensure safety, or comply with law. We do not guarantee zero retention by every underlying provider.
Do not submit information to an AI feature that you are not comfortable having processed by the third-party infrastructure necessary to fulfill the request.

## 6. Third-Party Service Providers
Airopl relies on third-party companies to operate the Service.
### OpenRouter
We use **OpenRouter** to route certain AI inference requests.
Information sent for an AI request may include prompts, relevant conversation context, files or file content when necessary, and generated responses.
OpenRouter may route information to an underlying AI model provider.
### Cloudflare
We use **Cloudflare** for networking, traffic delivery, security, and related infrastructure.
Cloudflare may process technical information associated with requests to Airopl, such as:
* IP addresses;
* request and response information;
* network and traffic-routing information; and
* security-related metadata.
### Cloudflare R2
We use **Cloudflare R2** for object storage.
Depending on the feature being used, R2 may store:
* uploaded files;
* generated files;
* images;
* videos;
* other user or application content; and
* associated object metadata.
### Hetzner
We use **Hetzner** for server and hosting infrastructure.
Information processed through Airopl's servers may therefore be stored or processed on infrastructure provided by Hetzner.
The information involved may include account information, conversations, technical information, application data, and other information required to operate the Service.
### Oracle
We use **Oracle** for cloud infrastructure services.
Information processed through Airopl's servers may therefore be stored or processed on infrastructure provided by Oracle.
The information involved may include account information, conversations, technical information, application data, and other information required to operate the Service.
### MaxMind GeoLite2
Airopl uses the **MaxMind GeoLite2** database for approximate IP geolocation.
We use this functionality for purposes such as:
* determining the approximate country or region associated with an IP address;
* enforcing geographic Service availability;
* security; and
* abuse prevention.
Airopl uses a downloaded/local GeoLite2 database rather than MaxMind's GeoLite web service. The IP lookup occurs within Airopl's infrastructure rather than sending each lookup to MaxMind.
GeoLite2 results are approximate and may be inaccurate.
This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.
### Other Providers
We may replace existing providers or use additional service providers when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, or improve Airopl.
If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

## 7. When We Share Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
### Service Providers
We may provide information to service providers that process data on our behalf or as necessary to provide requested features.
This includes the providers described above.
### AI Model Providers
Content necessary to fulfill an AI request may be transmitted through OpenRouter to an underlying AI model provider.
### Legal Requirements
We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
* comply with applicable law;
* respond to valid legal process;
* respond to a lawful request from an authority;
* protect our legal rights;
* investigate fraud or abuse;
* protect the security of the Service; or
* protect the rights or safety of users or others.
We will not voluntarily disclose user information merely because someone informally asks for it.
### Business Transfer
If Airopl later becomes owned or operated by a company, or if the Service or related assets are transferred, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction or restructuring.
Any successor would receive information subject to applicable obligations regarding that information.

We may also process technical logs generated automatically by servers, security systems, and infrastructure providers.

Airopl may estimate your country or general geographic region from your IP address.
We may use this information to:

IP-based geolocation is approximate and may be incorrect.
Airopl does not require GPS location information merely for this purpose.
Attempts to deliberately circumvent geographic restrictions may result in restriction or termination of an account.

We retain different categories of information for different periods based on operational needs.

* account information may be retained while your account remains active;
* conversations may be retained while they remain associated with your account unless deleted;
* uploaded or generated files may be retained while necessary to provide the related Service feature;
* temporary processing data may be deleted automatically after it is no longer needed;
* security and technical logs may be retained for a limited period for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and operational purposes; and
* certain information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
Backups may continue to contain information for a limited period after deletion from active systems until the backup is overwritten or expires.
Third-party service providers may maintain information according to their own retention requirements and contractual obligations.

We may require reasonable verification before processing the deletion request.
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days, though complex requests may take longer.
When an account deletion request is completed, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account from active systems where reasonably possible, except information we need to retain for legitimate purposes such as:
* security;
* abuse prevention;
* fraud prevention;
* legal compliance;
* dispute resolution;
* enforcing agreements; or
* maintaining necessary records.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups until those backups expire or are overwritten.
Deletion from Airopl does not necessarily control independent retention already performed by a third-party AI provider under that provider's own rules.

## 13. Individual Chat and File Deletion
Where the Service provides controls to delete individual conversations or files, you may use those controls without deleting your entire account.
Deleting content from your visible account may remove it from active Airopl systems, but copies may temporarily remain in backups, logs, or third-party systems as described in this Privacy Policy.

You may contact us to request information about personal data associated with your account.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be able to request:

## 18. Safety Monitoring

Airopl is not currently available in the European Union or European Economic Area, and may not be available in every other country or region.
We may use approximate IP-based geolocation and other reasonable technical measures to enforce geographic restrictions.
Using a VPN, proxy, or other technology to intentionally bypass a geographic restriction may violate our Terms of Service.
